INDONESIAN STEAMED AND GRILLED PRAWNS (PEPES UDANG)


This time, I want to submit a report to the #Monthly Event Pawon Ibu #21 


Indonesian Steamed And Grilled Prawns (Pepes Udang) is prawn steamed and grilled in banana leaves.
Marinated and steamed with fresh herb and spices in banana leaves or alumunium foil.
It is very delicious when served with warm rice.
Here is the recipe.


RECIPE IN ENGLISH


INDONESIAN STEAMED AND GRILLED PRAWNS
(PEPES UDANG)

INGREDIENTS :

1 kg of prawns
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons salt
handful of basil leaves
100 grams of button mushroom, split become 2 part
2 bay leaves
4 lime leaves
Banana leaves 
150 ml thick coconut cream
Stappler to seal the banana leaves


SPICES :

7 cloves of garlic
12 grains of red onion
5 pcs of candle nuts
1 cm ginger, crushed
2 stalk lemongras, take the whiteness
4 cm tumeric
2 teaspoons of tumeric powder
3 teaspoons of salt


HOW TO MAKE :

Marinate prawns with lemon and salt for 15 minutes
In a bowl mix prawns, mushroom, spices, coconut milk, basil leaves into one.
Mix well and let stand for 15 minutes so that the flavours mingle
Take 3 tablespoons of the prawn mixture and wrap with banana leaves and then hook with stick or stapler.
Steam for 30 minutes and then before serving grill over hot coals or grilling pan until fragrant.


RESEP DALAM BAHASA INDONESIA


INDONESIAN STEAMED AND GRILLED PRAWNS
(PEPES UDANG)

BAHAN-BAHAN:

1 kg udang
2 sendok makan air perasan lemon
2 sendok makan garam
segenggam daun kemangi
100 gramjamur kancing, potong menjadi 2 bagian
2 lembar daun salam
4 lembar daun jeruk
Daun pisang
150 ml santan kental
Steppler atau lidi untuk menyemat


BUMBU HALUS :

7 siung bawang putih
12 butir bawang merah
5 butir kemiri
1 cm jahe, memarkan
2 batang serai, ambil putihnya
4 cm kunyit
2 sendok teh kunyit bubuk
3 sendok makan garam


CARA MEMBUAT :

Lumuri udang dengan lemon dan garam selama 15 menit.
Didalam mangkok campurkan udang, jamur kancing, bumbu halus, santan, kemangi menjadi satu.
Aduk rata dan diamkan selama 15 menit yang bertujuan supaya bumbunya meresap.
Ambil 3 sendok makan adonan udang.
 Bungkus dengan daun pisang dan semat dengan lidi atau stapler. 
Kukus selama 30 menit.
Sebelum disajikan bakar pepes udang sampai harum.
