HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY LBT (TRIPLE LAYERED CAKE (LAPIS SURABAYA))


Happy 3rd Birthday LBT. I wish you long life, have a good team work and continuously give benefits to the members. 


I finally could submit this assignment on time.

I made this birthday cake on last Saturday. The cake base that I chose was Lapis Surabaya (Triple Layered Cake) because this cake is my favourite.
This cake is very popular in Indonesia, known for its high quality and expensive price. It is very tasty and the texture is very moist. 
Triple Layered Cake consist of two layers of vanilla cakes and one layer of chocolate cake, with strawberry jam in between the layers. The number of egg yolks used in this cake is unbelieveably huge, 30 egg yolks.

I chose flower theme cake decoration because I really love flowers. It creates a sense of freshness and vivacity. The decorative material was made of fondant rather than butter cream because fondant looks more attractive, neat, faster to shape, and easily available in supermarkets. White and pink were chosen because they are bright colours and symbolise positive emotions.


I used fondant cutter to create the flower shapes and letters. After the flowers were spread on top of cake surface, I put beads at the centre of each flower sheet. The flower that cover the whole surface of the cake imitates a garden.


I'm quite satisfied with the result because the details are quite neat and the colours are consistent. Overall, it was amazing. Also, the letter shaped fondant cutter has helped me to create beautiful letters which said "Happy Birthday LBT"


I present this cake to celebrate LBT's birthday. I hope LBT likes it.

RECIPE IN ENGLISH


TRIPLE LAYERED CAKE
(LAPIS SURABAYA)

TAKEN FROM:

INGREDIENTS:

30 egg yolks
300 grams sugar
375 grams butter, whip until light and pluffy
150 grams flour
1 tablespoons mocca pasta
Strawberry jam


HOW TO MAKE:

Preheat the oven at 180 degree celcius.
Brush baking pan with butter and line with baking paper and brush again butter on top of the baking paper.
Beat egg yolks and sugar until pale and thick, turn off the mixer.
Add the whipped butter and stir well.
Add the flour, Mix well.
For the 3 layers cake, divide the dough into 3 part.
Add 1/2 tablespoons mocca pasta into 1 part of the dough, mix well.
Pour the batter each into 20X20X4 cm baking pan.
Bake for 20 minutes or cake springs back when touched.
Let the cake cool.


TO ASSEMBLY :

When the cakes are cooled.
Place one yellow layer below and spread the top with strawberry jam.
After that, put the chocolate layer on the top and spread with strawberry jam.
The Last one, put the yellow layer on the top.


RESEP DALAM BAHASA INDONESIA


TRIPLE LAYERED CAKE

BAHAN YANG DIBUTUHKAN:

30 butir kuning telor
300 gram gula pasir
375 gram mentega / butter, kocok sampai putih dan mengembang
150 gram tepung terigu
1 sendok makan pasta moka
Selai Strawberry


CARA MEMBUAT:

Panaskan oven 180 derajad celcius
Olesi loyang dengan mentega, lapisi dengan kertas kue dan olesi kembali kertas kue dengan mentega.
Kocok telur dan gula hingga kental, matikan mixer.
Masukkan mentega kocok, aduk rata.
Masukkan terigu, aduk rata.
Bagi adonan menjadi 3 bagian.
Untuk 1 bagian adonan tambahkan 1/2 sendok makan pasta moka, aduk rata.
Tuang setiap adonan kedalam setiap loyang ukuran 20X20X4 cm.
Oven selama 20 menit.
Biarkan dalam keadaan dingin.


CARA PENYUSUNANNYA:

Letakkan layer berwarna kuning di bagian bawah.
Kemudian oles atasnya dengan selai strawberry.
Letakkan layer coklat diatas layer kuning.
Oles dengan selai strawberry.
Dan yang terakhir Letakkan Layer kuning diatasnya.
