MENDOL TEMPEH


Mendol is a kind of food made from tempeh, and one of the East Javanese food, which was given the spices and then fried.
It taste is very delicious.
Good to eat with warm rice and vegetable soup.


RECIPE IN ENGLISH


TEMPEH MENDOL

RECIPE FROM:
NATNAT

INGREDIENTS:

450 gr tempeh, steamed, refine
3 pieces of lime leaves, finely sliced
Enough salt
1 tbsp. flour
oil for frying


SPICES:

3 red chilli
4 bird’s eye chilli
1 tbp. kencur (kaempferia galangal) powder


HOW TO MAKE:

Cook tempeh in a steamer for 15 minutes, then crush until it resemble a fine mash.
Grind the spices with food processor.
Mix the mashed tempeh with spices.
Add lime leaves, salt, and flour, mix well.
Form 1 tbsp. of the tempeh into oval shape with your hand.
Do this step until the rest of the batch is finished.
Heat oil in the frying pan.
Fried tempeh mendol over medium heat until cooked.
Dry the tempeh mendol with kitchen paper before serving.
Serve with steamed rice.


RESEP DALAM BAHASA INDONESIA


TEMPEH MENDOL

RECIPE FROM:

BAHAN YANG DIGUNAKAN:

450 gr tempe, kukus, haluskan
3 lembar daun jeruk, potong tipis-tipis
Garam secukupnya
1 sdm tepung
Minyak goreng


BUMBU HALUS:

3 buah cabe merah besar
4 cabe rawit
1 sendok makan bubuk kencur


CARA MEMBUAT:

Kukus tempe selama 15 menit, kemudian hancurkan dan haluskan.
Haluskan bumbu dengan food processor.
Campur tempe yang sudah dihaluskan dengan bumbu halus.
Tambahkan daun jeruk, garam dan tepung terigu, campur rata.
Bentuk 1 sendok makan tempe halus menjadi bentuk oval memanjang dengan menggunakan tangan.
Lakukan terus menerus sampai adonan tempe halus habis.
Panaskan minyak disalam penggorengan.
Goreng tempe mendol dengan menggunakan tempe sedang sampai matang.
Angkat tempe mendol dan taruh diatas piring yang sudah dilapisi dengan tisue makan, agar minyaknya terserap oleh tisue.
Hidangkan dengan nasi hangat.
